President’s Letter

Dear Fellow Members,

First of all, I would like to tell you what an honor it is to be your President and how excited I am to have such a fabulous team of talented directors to be working with.

Together, the Board and myself are committed to keeping the Georgia Chapter strong and dedicated to the needs of you, our members.

Through this website, our goal is reach out to prospective members to show them the benefits of building a relationship with our local chapter as well as being part of our national organization. We also strive to be a resource to future members and clients to show them who we are, what we do, and how valuable the practice of design is in changing people’s lives.

To continue to grow your chapter, we have established several new committees including sponsorship and fundraising to help us reach and surpass our financial goals. But, as a not-for-profit organization, we need the time and talents of our members. The process of serving on committees helps us identify and develop our leadership for years to come and by getting involved, you have a vested interest in the direction we are going.

Along with our website, we have expanded our social networking on Facebook and Twitter to post  upcoming event information and pictures of recently held events.

Our emerging  professionals  and students continue to be an important and growing segment of our population. I want to challenge you to become involved on committees and come to our events. The relationships you establish now will help chart your future in design.

I am very excited about this year of changes, possibilities, and accomplishments. Join me in making this chapter a positive, creative force to be reckoned with for years to come.

Ann Wisniewski, ASID

President 2011-2012
